Product Overview
The MULTIrep X5 is a multi-channel PROFIBUS repeater designed to create a robust, flexible and stable PROFIBUS network structure. It divides a PROFIBUS network into up to five galvanically isolated segments while regenerating the PROFIBUS voltage signal to the required standard level.
The integrated interference suppression and diagnostic functions help maintain reliable data communication and simplify troubleshooting. Logical and physical abnormalities in PROFIBUS traffic are identified and indicated for the affected segment, allowing faults to be isolated and diagnosed more efficiently.
The MULTIrep X5 can be used to create star-shaped PROFIBUS topologies, extend network structures and isolate sensitive or problematic areas of a network. Its robust 9-pin D-Sub connections also provide convenient access for PROFIBUS measurement points.
