Product Overview
The MULTIrep X7 is a multi-channel PROFIBUS repeater and hub designed to create robust, flexible and stable PROFIBUS network structures. It divides a PROFIBUS network into up to seven galvanically isolated segments while regenerating the PROFIBUS signal to the required standard level.
The integrated interference suppression and diagnostic functions help maintain reliable communication and simplify troubleshooting. Logical and physical abnormalities in PROFIBUS data traffic are detected and indicated for the affected segment, allowing faults to be isolated and investigated without unnecessarily affecting the rest of the network.
The MULTIrep X7 is particularly suited to creating star-shaped PROFIBUS topologies and isolating sensitive or problematic areas of a network. Each segment can be monitored independently, while the 9-pin Sub-D connections provide convenient access for PROFIBUS diagnostic measurements.
