Product Overview
The PROlinetest is a portable cable tester designed for the installation and troubleshooting of PROFINET and Industrial Ethernet networks using copper cabling. It performs physical offline analysis of network cables, checking the correct wiring of conductors and pairs while detecting interruptions, short circuits, crossed wires and excessive cable lengths.
Using an integrated configurable cable database and TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) measurement, the PROlinetest can measure cable lengths up to 150 metres and locate interruptions or short circuits with an indication of the distance to the fault. The device also includes a Power over Ethernet load test and supports common wiring profiles such as PROFINET, T-568A and T-568B.
